EduvoPrivacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026. Applies to the Eduvo website, the Eduvo school management system and the Eduvo app.
Eduvo is school management software made by Eduvo Technologies LLP (“Eduvo”, “we”), Kozhikode, Kerala. Schools use Eduvo to keep their records and to share them with parents and staff. Each school decides what it records and who can see it; Eduvo stores and processes the information on the school’s behalf, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What is kept
- Students: name, admission number, class, date of birth, gender, photo (if the school adds one), parents’ names and contact details, attendance, homework, marks and report cards, fees and receipts, library books and certificates.
- Staff: name, role, contact details, attendance, leave and salary slips (at schools that use payroll).
- Parents who use the app: email address, the children the school has linked to it, the phone’s notification token, and when the privacy notice was accepted.
- For safety: sign-in times, the device’s internet address, and a record of changes made (who changed what, and when).
How it is used
Only to run the school’s work: attendance, homework, results, fees, notices and messages to parents and staff. We do not sell information, show advertising or share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to profile children or to train AI models.
Children’s data
Because Eduvo holds records of children, student data is treated with extra care, as Indian law requires. Schools are responsible for informing parents and obtaining any consents; Eduvo provides the technical protection and uses children’s data only for the school’s administration. The app is meant for parents and school staff, not for children to use on their own.
Who can see it
- Parents see only the children the school has linked to their email address.
- Teachers see the classes they teach; office staff see what their role needs.
- Eduvo staff see a school’s information only to give support the school asks for, or to keep the service running.
- Service providers that help run Eduvo: Amazon Web Services (servers and storage in Mumbai, India), email delivery, and Expo and Google Firebase (delivering app notifications). They may use the information only to provide their service.
- Authorities, only when Indian law requires it.
Where it is kept and how it is protected
On servers in India (Amazon Web Services, Mumbai), reached only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Each school’s records are kept in a separate database. Backups are encrypted and stored separately from the main server. Staff passwords are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form; parents sign in with a one-time code sent to their email. Every change is recorded in an audit log.
How long it is kept
As long as the school uses Eduvo, and as its record-keeping rules require (for example, fee receipts and certificates). When a school stops using Eduvo, we give the school a complete copy of its data and then delete it from our servers within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer. Encrypted backups expire automatically; the last of them is removed within 400 days.
Your choices and rights
- To see, correct or remove your child’s school records, contact the school office: the school decides about its records.
- You can delete your Eduvo app account at any time. See how to delete your account.
- You can switch off app notifications in your phone’s settings.
- For any question or complaint about privacy, write to info@eduvo.co.in. We reply within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in an important way, we update the date above, and the app asks parents to read and accept it again.
